Statewide Human Services Transportation Plan – Open House

English  |  Español  |  Pусский

Welcome to the online open house for the Human Services Transportation Plan, led by the Washington State Department of Transportation!

Human services transportation helps people with mobility challenges and other special transportation needs get to where they need to go. Some examples are buses with ramps and lifts, or transit vans that pick people up from their homes.

During this online open house, you will:

  • Learn about the Human Services Transportation Plan and how ideas from the community helped shape the draft plan.
  • Help WSDOT identify and confirm gaps and barriers for people with special transportation needs and strategies to meet their needs.
  • Share your experiences using human services transportation.

Plan objectives

WSDOT is partnering with subject matter experts, transportation and service providers and other key stakeholders to identify and address transportation issues within the human services community. The Human Services Transportation Plan aims to:

  • Identify unmet needs or barriers to using human services transportation.
  • Develop strategies to address the unmet needs of people with special transportation needs.
  • Highlight innovations and emerging trends that are shaping the future of human services transportation.
  • Inform coordinated human services transportation plans across the state.
