WSDOT is moving forward with the final stage (Stage 2) of the State Route 509 Completion Project which will extend the SR 509 highway from where it currently ends at the southeast corner of Sea-Tac International Airport to Interstate 5 (I-5).
This online open house presents Stage 2 of the project, also called the SR 509, 24th Avenue South to South 188th Street – New Expressway Project, which is scheduled to begin construction in late 2024.

Why an Online Open House?
Open houses provide community members with an opportunity to learn about project progress and planning, ask questions, and share feedback with WSDOT.
Since the SR 509 Completion Project received funding, WSDOT has conducted five open houses in addition to ongoing coordination and partnership with local, state, and federal agencies and community organizations. Valuable feedback from these activities have informed project planning, design, and implementation.
The online format means that you can visit at a time and place that is most convenient to you.
