What can travelers expect?
This project replaces 6 outdated culverts under SR 108 and US 101 that are identified as a barrier to fish migration. SR 108 will close around-the-clock three separate times during 2024:
- SR 108 at Kamilche Creek: Two-week closure during late winter/spring 2024.
- SR 108 at McDonald/Skookum Creek: Two-week closure of the highway during summer 2024.
- US 101 at the Thurston/Mason County line: Four weekends where the highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- SR 108 at Kamilche Creek: Two-week closure of the highway during late summer/early fall.
