To address one of the key needs for this project, improving terminal efficiency and faster ferry loading and unloading, WSF will improve the intersection of Fauntleroy Way SW and the terminal at Barton Street SW.
WSF is working closely with agency partners, specifically Seattle Department of Transportation and King County Metro, to plan an improved intersection configuration that includes a traffic signal. These improvements are needed for any alternative selected and will be needed during construction of the new terminal. WSF will begin intersection improvements ahead of the larger terminal replacement project. We will share more information as plans progress.
