Overview
The I-405/SR 167 Corridor Program currently has three major projects under construction on the I-405 corridor:
- I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project between Renton and Bellevue
- I-405/Northeast 85th Street Interchange Project in Kirkland
- I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project in Bothell

Closures on I-405 this week
Updated Tuesday, Oct. 6: People should prepare for a full closure of southbound I-405 in Bothell this weekend.
People should expect heavier traffic and longer travel times on southbound I-5 and through Bothell, as drivers shift their routes during the closure. Travelers may experience additional congestion Sunday, Oct. 11, when the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field.
Additionally, northbound I-5 in Seattle is reduced to two lanes across the Ship Canal Bridge until the end of 2026 as part of the Revive I-5 Ship Canal Bridge Preservation project.

Last weekend, crews paved portions of southbound I-405 in Tukwila over a weekend closure, Oct. 3-4, as part of the I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project.
Work moves southbound from Bellevue to Renton
Crews installed drainage and sign structures, implemented a traffic switch and paved the roadway on southbound I-405 during a weekend closure, Oct. 2-5, as part of the I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project.
