Baseline: funded projects
The SR 167 Master Plan final recommendation will complement investments within and outside the study area that provide regional connectivity. These projects are currently funded or are likely to be fully funded. The SR 167 Master Plan recommendation will build off these large investments in our multimodal transportation system.

- Express toll lanes on I-405 from Renton to Bellevue
- SR 509 Completion Project connecting SeaTac and Kent
- Southbound auxiliary lane on I-5 from SR 516 to S. 272nd Street
- Southbound auxiliary lane on SR 167 from SR 516 to S. 277th Street
- Express toll lane southbound on SR 167 from Ellingson Road to SR 410
- SR 167 Completion Project connecting Puyallup to the Port of Tacoma
- Widening of the Stewart Road Bridge over the White River
- Canyon Road Regional Connection Project
- Sound Transit’s Stride Bus Rapid Transit service on I-405 from Lynnwood to Burien.
- King County Metro’s Rapid Ride I Line connecting Renton, Kent, and Auburn
- Sound Transit’s Link light rail extension to Federal Way and Tacoma
- Sound Transit station access and parking improvements in Kent, Auburn, Sumner, and Puyallup
- Tacoma to Puyallup Regional Trail
- Update equipment (cameras and other technology) for the express toll lanes on SR 167 between I-405 and SR 410
- Several local projects to address local traffic and freight access issues at intersections and roadways
- Several local projects to improve sidewalks, ADA facilities, and pedestrian and trail crossings
