This online open house provides information about an important Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) study focusing on improvements for people walking, rolling and taking transit. The State Route 99 Lynnwood and Unincorporated Snohomish County Pre-Design Study Area, or SR 99 Study Corridor, spans from 212th Street Southwest to Airport Road, affecting Everett, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and Brier. The project map below illustrates the SR 99 Study Corridor. You’ll find details about the study—including study needs, existing conditions, potential improvements and opportunities to provide feedback.
In this online open house, you can:

The full survey should take no more than 25 minutes.
Your input will help shape improvement recommendations, especially for bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

What is the purpose of the SR 99/Lynnwood and Unincorporated Snohomish County Pre-Design Study?
The purpose of the SR 99/Lynnwood and Unincorporated Snohomish County Pre-Design Study is to develop improvement options that provide safe and convenient connections for active transportation users (people walking, biking, rolling and accessing transit) while prioritizing mobility needs of environmental justice populations (as defined by state guidance).
What problems will the Study help address?
The study is looking at ways to:
- Reduce stress and improve comfort for pedestrians and bicyclists traveling along and across the SR 99 Study Corridor.
- Make it easier to get to bus stops and other destinations along SR 99 for those who walk, bike or roll.
- Come up with improvements to eliminate deadly and severe injury collisions for all people – including pedestrians and bicyclists.
How can members of the community give input on the Study?
This open house, and the survey provide you with the opportunity to give input on the SR 99 Study. Additionally, look for information about the SR 99 Study at fairs and festivals near you this summer!
WSDOT will review your input and use your feedback to develop a recommended future design.
