SR 900 Pedestrian Safety Improvements Online Open House

Welcome!

We’re working to make State Route 900 safer and more accessible for everyone who travels through the Skyway-West Hill area, whether you’re walking, biking, riding the bus or driving.

This online open house is your place to learn about the project, view preliminary alternatives and share your input. You’ll find details about the project, including the project needs, existing conditions, potential improvements and opportunities to provide feedback. You will see several options we are considering for this corridor, and we want to hear from you about what you like and dislike about the options. Your input will help shape the design for these facilities.

In this online open house, you have the opportunity to:

Your input will help shape improvement recommendations, especially for bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

Complete Streets

This project reflects WSDOT’s commitment to Complete Streets, which ensures roadways are less stressful and more accessible for all users—whether walking, biking, rolling, driving or using transit. Active Transportation refers to any form of human-powered travel, such as walking, biking or using a mobility device. For more information on Complete Streets, see RCW 47.04.035.

Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act

We are also applying the principles of the Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act. The HEAL Act creates a coordinated approach to reducing environmental and health disparities across Washington state. This project is designated as significant agency actions which means an Environmental Justice Assessment will be completed and published. WSDOT staff will assess how this project may impact these communities and vulnerable populations and will engage with those directly affected to identify strategies to reduce harms and increase benefits associated with the project.

📅 This open house will be available through August XX.
