New Fish Passable Structures

A new fish passable structure, typically a culvert or bridge, will be installed at each location. The new structures are much bigger than the outdated culverts currently in place. The new structures are sometimes fabricated and installed on-site and other times fabricated off-site and trucked in for installation.

Installation can be done within several weeks but only during the fish windows when crews are allowed to work in the water.

These structures are also resilient to future changes in climate and changes in the watershed. The work will open potential fish habitat upstream. Opening habitat helps fish to thrive, reproduce, and find food and shelter.
