Welcome

A new section of express toll lanes is set to open on I-405 between Bellevue and Renton in 2025!  This new section is part of a bigger effort to create a 50-mile I-405/SR 167 express toll lane corridor that will stretch from Lynnwood to Puyallup.

Before this next segment opens, the Washington State Transportation Commission (WSTC) needs to set toll rates and policies for the expanded express toll lane corridor. The WSTC intends to establish consistent toll rates and policies for the entire corridor, including carpool rules and hours of operation.

This open house is designed to both share the toll rates and policy options being considered by the WSTC and gather your feedback ahead of the Commission issuing a formal toll policy proposal in early 2025.

A map of the general Puget Sound area, with I-405 and part of SR 167 highlighted. Between Renton and Auburn on SR 167, and between Lynnwood and Bellevue on I-405, the road is purple showing the express toll lanes are already operating in those areas. On I-405 between Bellevue and Renton the road is highlighted in orange, marking it as a future express toll lane.
The map also has text boxes calling out that a new toll will be charged in downtown Bellevue where the future express toll lanes meet the existing ones. And another new toll will be charged in Renton where the existing SR 167 HOT lanes connect with the future express toll lanes on I-405.
The image also gives an example the new sign drivers will see, calling out that there is a new toll ahead in one mile.
