We want your input

A public comment period is now open. We want your input to help inform decisions on conducting HEAL Act required Environmental Justice assessments and how we communicate and engage with you. Please comment online via the survey linked below. Also, reach out with comments or questions via mail, email, or phone calls through the contact information below.

We welcome your comments and thoughts about:

  • The above list of significant agency actions.
  • Other types of WSDOT actions you think would benefit from an Environmental Justice assessment starting in 2025.
  • How you want to stay informed as WSDOT does this work.

While this comment period is open through June 12, 2023, we invite you to reach out to us at any time. We will use your input to help inform decisions on conducting Environmental Justice assessments and how we communicate and engage with you.

Our commitment

Our mission is to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses. As the steward of the statewide multimodal transportation system, WSDOT understands the effects that transportation infrastructure has had on overburdened communities and vulnerable populations.

Community engagement is central to the environmental justice assessment process, and we want to hear from you. WSDOT is excited to begin this new process and work with community-based organizations, Tribes and individuals across the state to inform and improve our agency decisions.

We offer free language services about our programs and services for people whose primary language is not English. To request these services, or to learn more about what we can provide, contact William Golding (information below).
