The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) gives financial assistance to states through several grant programs to develop new transit systems and improve, maintain, and operate existing systems.
We are looking for your feedback as we finalize our 2024-2027 State Management Plan (PDF 728KB). The State Management Plan describes our state’s administrative policies and procedures for the FTA grant programs and must be submitted to the FTA every three years.
As part of this funding, FTA requires states to adopt policies and procedures for administering federal grant programs including (49 U.S.C.):
- Section 5304 – Statewide Planning
- Section 5310 – Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities
- Section 5311 – Rural Areas
- Section 5339 – Bus and Bus Facilities programs
